Carol Ochs

Artist’s Bio

Carol Ochs (“Oaks”) thinks of paintbrushes as magic wands. Her magic-of-choice is watercolor, pen & ink. Self-taught in art, she has dabbled in several genres since childhood and is enamored with many Old World forms of crafting...including soaps and potions. With a lifelong fascination with legend, myth, nature, and the whimsical, when asked “Why fantasy and witch art?”, she responds, “I love and instinctually connect with all things enchanted, especially deep forest-y places and creatures...I’ve never really grown up. So it’s my joy to paint enchanted realms, and if it happens to charm you too, with thoughts of magical possibility and childhood memories, then I’ve shared a bit of abracadabra that I hope puts a sparkle in your eye!”
