For the past fifteen years Christin’s art has reflected a deep appreciation for nature through her landscape painting, both en plein air and in her larger studio works. A resident of Marin County, California since 1981, her artwork express a deeply rooted love of the outdoors. Her paintings of the Marin County hills, costal regions, and Sonoma County vineyards reflect her strong connection with the land and she strives to create a sense of place in each work she undertakes.
Born in Norway, she attended U.C. Berkeley where she received a degree in Fine Art. Christin is a founding member of The BayWood Artists, a group of 11 professional landscape painters involved in promoting the protection of environmentally sensitive lands in the Bay Area.
Christin is represented by several fine galleries in northern California and participates in fundraising art exhibits for the Marin Agricultural Land Trust, the Buckelew Foundation, the Bolinas Museum, the Environmental Action Committee of West Marin, and the Ritter House. Her paintings have been collected throughout the United States, in Europe, and Australia.
