Your dye sublimation mural tiles should be cleaned with a soft cloth and a soft cleanser or glass cleaner. Do not use any abrasive cleansers, scrubbing tools or abrasive pads.
The tiles are resistant to damage from most household cleaners such as dilute bleach, all-purpose cleaners such as Fantastik, hydrogen peroxide, window cleaner, disinfectant cleanser such as Lysol or Pine Glo, scouring powder such as Soft Scrub, and laundry detergent. However, they are NOT resistant to an abrasive cleaner such as Comet, Ajax, or similar types of powered bleach cleaners.
In kitchens these tiles have proven to be resistant to the effects of common food items such as red wine, tomato sauce, mustard, vinegar, etc. Cutting food such as cheese on the tile surface can leave faint scratches or burnish marks.
We recommend using: Colortec TopCoat Protector as a scratch resistant topcoat. This formulation is suitable for floors & countertops. Extra heavy-duty scratch resistant protector is even harder. It can also be used to protect softer sublimation coatings. CAUTION: Other sublimation coatings may not be suitable for floors or countertops even after coating with Colortec top coat protector. TopCoat Protector may also be used on any tile as a good gloss coating to protect from chips and scratches.
